Joseph’s is a husband and wife run business, built on a shared love for great food and genuine hospitality. Turan, born and bred in Southwark, has spent most of his life living and working in the area, bringing a deep connection to the neighbourhood and its people. His wife, Ebz, hails from Hackney, just across the river, and together they’ve created a place that reflects both their roots and their passion for serving others.

The name “Joseph’s” carries special meaning, it’s in honour of Turan’s late father, whose legacy and values continue to inspire everything the family does.

 

As for how it all started - Ebz fell for Turan’s chiselled jawline and ocean brown eyes, while Turan couldn’t help but fall for her bouncy personality. Fast forward to today, and they now live and work together…which means they truly never get a break from each other. Luckily, they still seem to like one another (sometimes) and have somehow managed to turn that into a business.

We opened our doors first and foremost for the community, sourcing locally to bring you the finest produce our boroughs have to offer. More than just your local chippy, Joseph’s is about friendly faces, quality service, and a clean, welcoming space where everyone feels at home.
